Our caps continue to evolve daily to improve functionality such as ease of opening and leak resistance. Development of this product began after receiving a request from a major beverage brand that wanted to eliminate the approximately ten-plus liquid leakage complaints that occur annually. Analysis of complaint content received by consumer consultation centers revealed that many cases involved liquid leaking and staining valuable belongings when consumers put the cans in their bags without fully closing the caps after drinking. <br \/>\n\t\t  <span>*1 Beverage cans equipped with caps having reseal functionality<\/span>\n\t\t  <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<figure class=\"research-development__section3__cols1__col2\">\n<div> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/english\/assets\/research-development\/images\/img_section3_09_02.png\" alt=\"Capping product\"><figcaption>\u25b2 Capping product<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"research-development__section3__cols1\">\n<div class=\"research-development__section3__cols1__col1\">\n<h3 class=\"research-development__section3__heading2\">Improving ease of closure through cap shape design innovations<\/h3>\n<p> Subsequent investigation results confirmed that insufficient cap closure occurs because resistance when closing the cap suddenly increases due to variations in  bottle finish shape and capping conditions. To solve this problem, after repeatedly prototyping and evaluating various cap shapes, we ultimately succeeded in developing a specification that improved ease of closure through the following shape innovations.\n\t\t  <\/p>\n<h4 class=\"research-development__section3__heading4\">Improved grip performance<\/h4>\n<p>\n            We improved grip performance when grasping the cap with fingers by increasing the number of ridges and grooves on the cap&#8217;s side surface.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"research-development__section3__heading4\">Reduced resistance during closure<\/h4>\n<p>We reduced resistance during closure by thinning the liner (resin for sealing the container) on the outside of the fitting section with the bottle. Being able to participate in the commercialization process for the first time was an extremely valuable experience.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/english\/assets\/research-development\/images\/img_section3_09_05.png\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__content\">\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text1\">Technical Research &#038; Development Department<\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text2\">R.K<\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text3\">This was one of the rare development projects that simultaneously changed both the cap&#8217;s side surface and liner shape. We faced various challenges during prototyping and other phases, but I&#8217;m pleased that we were able to achieve commercialization through cooperation with factory members.\n<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/english\/assets\/research-development\/images\/img_section3_09_06.png\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__content\">\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text1\">Sales Department East<\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text2\">Y.O<\/div>\n<div class=\"research-development__staff__item__text3\">This was a startup product that required repeated proposals to customers using multiple design configurations, attending numerous customer line tests, and a lengthy startup process. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to have extensive involvement both within and outside the company.
